The roof has a rear window (6) movably mounted by a guide device having upper and lower guides (7, 8), where the upper guide is hinged at the rear window and at a carriage (11) taken up movably at a transverse roof guide (13). The lower guide is hinged at the rear window and at a pivoting joint (16). The carriage connected with the upper guide moves along a guide way while adjusting the window. The roof is adjustable between a closed position and a rear put-away position. The carriage is powered in the direction of closing of the window, and a contact element is provided in a hook.
