Method of fixing a plastic projectile on a metallic case and projectile permitting the application of said method

The method involves separating a rear extension from a body of a projectile by a rupture unit, where the rear extension comprises a metallic external section on which a groove is arranged. A metal case is fixed by crimping at a level of the groove. The body is partly made of plastic. The metallic external section is constituted by a ring on which the case is crimped. The projectile is fixed next to the ring by screwing the extension on the ring. An independent claim is also included for a projectile comprising a body.
