A base film for hydraulic transfer printing which is a polyvinyl alcohol film for hydraulic transfer printing having a thickness of 20-50 µm. In the film, film surfaces in an area (S1) ranging from one width-direction edge of the film to 30% of the whole width and in an area (S2) ranging from the other edge to 30% of the whole width each has a percentage deflection (T) (%) of 3% or lower. Due to the constitution, this base film for hydraulic transfer printing has satisfactory suitability for design printing and is extremely useful as a base film for hydraulic transfer printing. |
