<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the increase of control burdens and to perform appropriate restoration. <P>SOLUTION: Image element data set so as to increase a display frequency are read from a CGROM beforehand and transferred to a fixed address area. The plotting circuit of a VDP writes the image element data read from the fixed address area into a frame buffer memory to be stored. When an event interruption standby timer value reaches a limit time judgement value without detecting the occurrence of event interruption, the CPU 131 of a microcomputer 120 for performance control starts loop processing and inhibits the start of the execution of performance control interruption processing corresponding to the occurrence of timer interruption.
