<p>PURPOSE: A device for blocking stand-by power and a method for controlling the same are provided to block main power about an electronic product according to control data of a remote controller which offs the power of the electronic product, thereby blocking stand-by power consumption in a function stand-by state of the electronic product. CONSTITUTION: A control unit(106) compares learned control data and the control data if control data of remote controller which offs the power of an electronic product through a receiver is received. If the control data accords, the control unit blocks main power source about the electronic product by off of a first switch(101). The control unit minimizes stand-by consumption in a multi tap which is in state of blocking stand-by power of the electronic product by off of a second switch(102).</p> |
