A method for producing a brazing metal sheet, which comprises preparing a powder having a chemical composition for the brazing metal sheet from one type of powder or through mixing two or more types of powder having different compositions, and subjecting the resultant powder to powder rolling, to form a sheet. A brazing metal sheet produced by the method exhibits improved handling characteristics.
