PURPOSE: A high luminance multifunctional plate and a liquid crystal display equipped with the plate are provided to improve brightness through the birefringent interface between an isotropic member and a birefringent microfiber. CONSTITUTION: A polarizing layer(50) comprises a birefringent microfiber, having a specific thickness, on a transparent substrate(10). A diffusion layer has a porous part on a transparent member excluding the polarizing layer. An air bubble layer(70) is formed with a blowing agent.
