<p>Producing propylene oxide, comprises reaction of propylene with a hydroperoxide in the presence of a silicon oxide catalyst containing titanium, which is prepared by reaction of metal halide compound (A) with metal ether or metal hydroxyl compound (B) to obtain metal ether compound (C) and hydroxyl derivative (D), in liquid phase in the presence of Lewis acid catalyst different from titanium and silicon compound. Producing propylene oxide, comprises reaction of propylene with a hydroperoxide in the presence of a silicon oxide catalyst containing titanium, which is prepared by reaction of metal halide compound of formula (L 1L 2L 3M-X) (A) with metal ether or metal hydroxyl compound of formula (L 4L 5L 6M-OR) (B) to obtain metal ether compound of formula (L 1L 2L 3M-O-ML 4L 5L 6) (C) and hydroxyl derivative of formula (RX) (D), in liquid phase, in the presence of Lewis acid catalyst different from titanium and silicon compound. M : silicon or titanium; X : halo or carboxylate; R : H or a hydrocarbon group; and L 1-L 6alkoxy group, halo group, carboxylate group, H or hydrocarbon group.</p> |
