THE CONSTRUCTION METHODS FOR THE CANTILEVER SLAB USING HALF PRECAST PANELS

PURPOSE: A cantilever bottom plate construction method using a half precast panel is provided to construct a cantilever part of a bottom plate of a composite girder bridge without placing a separate precast panel inside a main girder. CONSTITUTION: A cantilever bottom plate construction method using a half precast panel is as follows. A standard hook is installed on an end of an upper chord(1) of the half precast panel and connected to a first shear connector(5) welded to the top surface of a main girder(4). A compression filler(8) is inserted between a lower chord(2) of the half precast panel and a second shear connector(6) welded to the top of the main girder so as to fix the half precast panel to the main girder.
