SOLAR CELL AND METHOD FOR FABRICATING THE SAME

PURPOSE: A solar cell and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to improve the efficiency of a solar cell by reducing damage to an intrinsic semiconductor due to laser in a patterning process. CONSTITUTION: A first electrode(102) is formed on a substrate(100). A P type semiconductor layer(104), an intrinsic semiconductor layer(106), and an N type semiconductor layer(108) are successively formed on the substrate including the first electrode. A trench(124) is formed by patterning the N type semiconductor layer, the intrinsic semiconductor layer, and the p type semiconductor layer with a laser scribing method. A buffer layer(110) is formed by doping ions or processing the substrate including the trench with hydrogen plasma.
