The device (1) has an elongated body (2) having a buttonhole system (4) close to an end (3) and a side edge provided with a cutting edge system (5), where the edge system has a concave section (7) connected to a convex section (8), at another end (6) of the body opposed to the former end. The edge system has a longitudinal extension ranging between half and a one-third of total length of the body and formed between a face with parallel straight generatrixes of the body and one of opposite inclined surfaces (10, 11) directed towards a respective side edge of the face with generatrixes.
