<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a low-noise low-vibration reciprocating tool having excellent working efficiency. <P>SOLUTION: The reciprocating tool 1 includes a brushless motor 3; a plunger 52 being driven by the brushless motor 3 and reciprocating between a lower dead point and an upper dead point in which a tip tool 7 is attached to an end portion on the lower dead point side in the reciprocating direction; and a control means for controlling the rotation speed or the angle of rotation of the brushless motor 3 based on the position of the plunger 52.
