<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve durability of a micromechanical plunger for ink discharge. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A paddle 8 jets out liquid from the interior of a nozzle chamber 2 through an ink jetting nozzle 4 defined in one wall of the nozzle chamber 2. The paddle 8 includes a first part and a second part, wherein the first part is configured to provide an approximately flat plunger surface which is opposed to the ink jetting nozzle 4 upon usage and disposed to be spaced away from the ink jetting nozzle 4, and the second part is formed on the surface of the plunger around the first part and structurally supports the first part. Thus, upon usage, while the plunger is actuated to jet out the ink through the ink jetting nozzle 2, the second part functions as a spacer to prevent the plunger surface from being in contact with the ink jetting nozzle 4.
