<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information processing system for surely managing the state of a request and a response even when communication is performed by using a communication path with a narrow band or low quality. Ž<P>SOLUTION: When making a request to a request processing apparatus 2, an information terminal 1 manages a request state including the presence/absence of a response to the request. When accepting the request from the information terminal 1, the request processing apparatus 2 manages a response state including the presence/absence of the response to the request. At the same time, when making an instruction to the other information terminal 1 by executing the request, the request processing apparatus 2 manages an instructing state including the presence/absence of the response to the instruction. When any abnormality is generated in the communication, which stage causes the generation of the abnormality is analyzed based on the presence/absence of the information of the state managed by each processing apparatus or the presence/absence of the response, and presented to a user.
