<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compound having excellent pest-controlling activity. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The cyclopropanecarboxylic acid ester is represented by formula (1). The pest-controlling agent contains the cyclopropanecarboxylic acid ester represented by formula (1) as an active ingredient. The method for controlling the pest includes applying an effective amount of the cyclopropanecarboxylic acid ester represented by formula (1) to the pest or to the habitat of the pest.
