<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely prevent an object to be tested from being double beaten by dropping a retinal cone again that is dropped from a predetermined position towards the object and strikes on the object to rebound. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The falling weight testing device 10 has a structure that engages a movable body 20 movable between an end (upper end) of movable body guiding hole 11b1 in a cylinder 11 provided towards the object 1 and a stopper 11b3 provided on the other end (lower end) side when the retinal cone 30 is dropped from a predetermined position towards the object 1 to test the shock resistance of the object, and the movable body 20 stops at the stopper 11b3 provided on the other end (lower end) in the movable body guiding hole 11b1 when the retinal cone 30 is suspended movable in this movable body 20 and the movable body 20 and the retinal cone 30 are dropped from a predetermined position in the movable body guiding hole 11b1, and thus, the retinal cone 30 strikes the object 1 so as to rebound and be engaged by the movable body 20 that is stopped.
