PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotating electrical machine capable of reducing iron loss by improving the magnetic characteristics of tooth portions. SOLUTION: The rotating electrical machine includes a rotor, and a stator core which has a cylindrical yoke portion, and a plurality of tooth portions protruded from the yoke portion to the inside of a radial direction of the rotor, provided in the circumferential direction of the yoke portion and formed, by laminating a plurality of electromagnetic steel plates in the shaft direction of the rotor. The rotating electrical machine is provided with a stress applying member press-contacting the tooth portion and applying a compressed stress, in a direction orthogonal to the protruding direction of the tooth portion.
