COOLING SYSTEM USING VARIABLE HEAT RESISTANCE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cooling system for removing effect of heat from a brake to a motor and dissipating heat from the motor through the brake with a simple structure. SOLUTION: The cooling system has the motor 2 and the brake 1 performing braking, and uses variable heat resistance for cooling the motor 2. A Peltier element 3 whose heat resistance changes in accordance with a conduction state is arranged in a heat transmission route where heat is transmitted between the motor 2 and the brake 1. Heat transmission from the motor 2 to the brake 1 is promoted and the motor 2 can effectively be cooled. A temperature of the brake 1 is speedily raised with heat of the motor 2 to secure brake performance. Heat transmission from the brake 1 to the motor 2 is interrupted to prevent overheating of the motor 2 and degradation of performance. COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
