PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic camera that also easily classifies images for which face identification is not carried out or face identification function is not applied when imaging the same. SOLUTION: The electronic camera includes: an image sensor; a recording unit; a display; a face detection unit; a face identification unit; a first identification information appending unit; a face classification processing unit; a searching unit; an image display; a selecting condition display; and a selecting condition receiving unit. The face detection unit detects a face. The face identification unit extracts characteristic points thereof. The first identification information appending unit appends the identification information to the image data. The face classification processing unit classifies the image data based on the identification information. The searching unit searches the image data to which the identification information is not appended. The image display displays the image displayed on the display. The selecting condition display displays selecting conditions for selecting face figures. The selecting condition receiving unit receives selection or non-selection of the selecting conditions. The second identification information appending unit append the identification information in response to the selecting conditions to the image data of the displayed image.
