The pump (1) has an electrically operated unit i.e. position sensor, for determining a position and/or a location of the pump in a body of a patient (P). The electrically operated unit includes a transmitting and/or receiving device for transmitting and/or receiving electromagnetic waves or ultrasonic waves, or another transmitting and/or receiving device for impedance measurements, or a force and/or torque sensor. The pump is connected to a catheter (10) at a proximal end, where a hose is provided at a distal end of the pump. An independent claim is also included for a medical-technical device comprising a position detection system.
