PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid-jet apparatus which includes a cap while being suppressed from being upsized. SOLUTION: The inkjet printer 1 includes: a recording head 5 for jetting a liquid to a recording medium P in conveying, and recording on the recording medium P; and the cap 15 for covering the nozzle surface 12 of the recording head 5 during the recording operation stop of the recording head 5. The recording head 5 and the cap 15 are disposed on the recording medium arrangement side where the recording medium P is arranged, with respect to the upper lateral side 10 where the recording medium P is conveyed. The recording head 5 is configured to, on the recording medium arrangement side, move between a recording operation position R where the nozzle surface 12 faces the recording medium P so as to record on the recording medium P, and a recording operation stop position S where the recording head 5 is covered by the cap 15 when the recording operation is stopped. The cap 15 is configured to, on the side of the upper lateral surface 10, move between a non-capping position M and a capping position N to cover the nozzle surface 12 of the recording head 5 that has moved to the recording operation stopping position S.
