<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To safely execute error processing when an instruction string read from a storage device is wrong due to a noise in a microprocessor whose noise resistivity should be improved at low costs. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A microprocessor for executing error processing when detecting an error includes: a means for detecting an error according to the content of an error in executing an instruction; a means for measuring a time until a noise is converged; and a means for stopping instruction fetch in a period from the detection of the error till the convergence of the noise, and configured to suppress the instruction fetch in a period when any correct instruction string cannot be read from a storage device which stores error processing due to the noise, and to execute the error processing after the noise is converged.
