<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a belt installation tool, capable of preventing, when extending and installing a belt on a pulley while rotating the pulley, dropping-off or dislocation of the belt from the other pulley. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The belt installation tool 1 includes a fixing part 12 to be fixed to a pulley 2. The belt installation tool 1 includes a holding surface 9. The holding surface 9 holds a part of the belt 4 on the front side near a pulley flange 8. The belt 4 is installed also over the other pulley 3. The pulley 2 is rotated. The part held by the holding surface 9 of the belt 4 slids in the pulley axial direction and is installed on the pulley 2. The installation tool includes a pressure part 6 to press the belt 4 extending from the holding surface 9 to the pulley 3 toward the deep side.
