PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motor which can achieve reduction in size and weight and also can increase in the rated capacity by improving cooling efficiency of a rotor core and stator core without increasing the frequency of maintenance and inspection. SOLUTION: The motor 26 includes: the sealed outer frame 6a; the stator core 2 fixed to the inside of the outer frame; a rotary shaft 3 extending through the inside of the outer frame, and having both end parts respectively rotatably supported by the outer frame via a bearing; a rotor core 13 fixed to the rotary shaft and arranged inside the stator core; and a ventilation duct 7 formed on the outer peripheral side of the outer frame and having one end and the other end which are respectively communicated into the inside of the outer frame. The rotor core includes: a plurality of ventilation holes 12 respectively penetrated and formed along the axial direction; and first ventilation paths 30a each extending from the ventilation hole to the outer periphery of the rotor core along the radial direction of the rotor core. The stator core includes: second ventilation paths 30b each extending from the inner peripheral surface of the stator core to the inside of the ventilation duct along the radial direction of the stator core.
