METHOD FOR ESTIMATING LOCATION OF MOVING TARGET USING BISTATIC RADAR

PURPOSE: A method for estimating the location of a moving target in a bistatic radar system is provided to estimate the location of a moving target by predicting the movement of a following target without radar information. CONSTITUTION: A target range smaller than Rmax is detected(S110). A TOA(Time of Arrival) module calculates a distance at each receiver through reflection signal delay information(S120). The calculated distance is stored at each receiver(S130). A signal to noise ratio of the signal received through each antenna is compared with a preset critical value. The number of the signals received through each antenna is compared with a preset K(S140). The distance is precisely calculated by using the estimated distance and the distance through the received signal over the critical value of the signal to noise ratio(S150-S170).
