PURPOSE: As the contamination of the filter increases, the contamination of the filter is measured accurately and the filter changing time is informed. It can contribute to the improvement of indoor environment of the air cleaner. Provided is the air cleaner and the operation method having the filter changing time alert function. CONSTITUTION: An air cleaner with the motor(200) rotating the fan(100). With the filter(400) filtering the air inhaled with the rotation of fan. With the timer(300) counting the time to the suspension point of time from the start address of the motor. The contamination is integrated presently to the set time interval of the filter. Immediately, the contamination of the integrated filter, and the contamination of the filter previously use the time which coefficient, and the pulse width modulation coefficient and timer of the motor count.
