<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the suitability of a sample print paper used for evaluation of picture quality or adjustment. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus includes a printer part 60 for forming an image on paper based on image data, a density histogram generation part 120 for generating a density histogram of the image data, a blank region detecting part 130 for detecting a largest blank region among the blank regions of the image data, a test image data generating part 140 for generating test image data, and a control part 200 in which the sample image data superposed with the test image data corresponding to the density histogram generated by the density histogram generating part is generated in the largest blank region of the image data, and the image based on the sample image data is formed on paper by the printer part 60. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
