PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lighting device for a seamless fluorescent lamp, wherein high stress is prevented from being applied to one part when mounting the seamless fluorescent lamp on the lighting device employing the seamless fluorescent lamp, the lamp is reliably held so that no stress is applied after mounting the seamless fluorescent lamp, and a degree of freedom in designing the lighting device is increased by decreasing a range of moving the lamp when mounting the seamless fluorescent lamp. SOLUTION: In the lighting device for the seamless fluorescent lamp, a bracket side 3a of a socket 2a facing a mouth ring is provided with two transit grooves 6 through which a mouth ring pin can pass from each of positions corresponding to the tips of a pair of conductive terminals 4a and 4b toward an upper portion, the grooves are changed to a horizontal direction and extended before reaching a socket side surface 5a, the grooves are further extended to the socket side surface 5a after the two transit grooves 6 overlap with each other, and an insertion hole 7a through which the mouth ring pin can pass is provided in the socket side surface 5a at the position where the socket side surface 5a is reached.
