<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a curtain sensor for detecting a dielectric potential generated by approach or contact of a person or an object to a curtain as a change in capacitance of the curtain, and to be useful for crime prevention and monitoring work of nursing or the like by installing the curtain sensor to the gateway or window of a building. Ž<P>SOLUTION: By using thread containing conductive fibers as a part of thread forming the structure of the curtain, the dielectric potential generated by the approach or contact of a person or an object to the curtain is detected as the change in capacitance of the curtain.
