PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a security system that is built with an inexpensive pressure distribution detecting sensor without requiring a camera for zoom-up. SOLUTION: The security system has: a model data storage section 120 for storing walk-characteristic model data about the walk-characteristic of a person permitted to stay in a space as a target for ensuring security; a floor mat type pressure distribution sensor 105 put on the floor of the space; a walk-characteristic estimation means for estimating the walk-characteristic of the person based on the pressure distribution detecting information acquired by the floor mat type pressure distribution sensor 105; a probability calculation means for calculating the probability that the person is given with an ID based on the walk-characteristic estimated by the walk-characteristic estimation means and the walk-characteristic model data; and a first decision means for determining whether the person has been given with the ID based on the probability calculated by the probability calculation means.
