PURPOSE: A drive system for a cold pilger rolling mill is provided to implement rotations of opposite directions by driving two cranks with two respective motors. CONSTITUTION: A drive system for a cold pilger rolling mill comprises two units, each of which comprises a roll stand(2) able to reciprocate, a crank assembly(3) including a crank arm(4) with a balance(5) to compensate at least a part of inertia created by the roll stand, a motor(6), and a push rod(7) interconnecting the roll stand and the crank arm with joints. The two units are arranged on both sides of a central plane(8) of the drive system and rotate in opposite directions.
