IMPROVED NITRILE-HYDRATASE AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a protein having nitrile-hydratase activity in which heat resistance and resistance against amido compound are further improved by modifying wild-type nitrile-hydratase.

SOLUTION: The protein is the following (A) or (B): (A) a protein including an amino acid sequence in which a specific amino acid residue in the amino acid sequence of wild-type nitrile-hydratase is substituted by other amino acid residues, and having nitrile-hydratase activity; or (B) a protein including an amino acid sequence in which one or several amino acid residues are deleted, substituted and/or added except for the above specific amino acid residue in the amino acid sequence of the protein represented by (A).
