<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flame retardant, a flame-retardant resin composition and an insulated electric cable, which are good in low-temperature properties, excellent in cold resistance and high in productivity. <P>SOLUTION: The insulated electric cable is obtained by insulating coating of the periphery of a conductor with the flame-retardant resin composition comprising a base resin and the flame retardant obtained by surface treatment of chemically synthesized magnesium hydroxide with a surface treating agent comprising an organic polymer having a melting point of ≥150°C. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
