<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image capturing apparatus with a two-dimensionally movable image sensor, which can be made compact because a footprint of an extraction portion for an image sensor connection FPC is small. Ž<P>SOLUTION: An image capturing apparatus includes a lens barrel unit 20 having a photographic optical system, an imaging unit 88 that is displaced two-dimensionally (on an XY plane) to correct camera shake, an image sensor connection FPC 65 that has an extending section 65a connected to the image sensor disposed in the imaging unit 88 and extending on the outer surface of the lens barrel unit 20, and an extending section 65b that extends by being bent at an end of the extending section 65a and is fixed to the outer surface of the lens barrel unit 20, and an FPC guide plate 66 that guides the extending section 65a on the outer surface of the lens barrel unit 20. When the imaging unit 88 moves in an X direction, the bent section is bent to absorb an amount of movement in the X direction, and when the imaging unit 88 moves in a Y direction, the extending section 65a bends to absorb an amount of movement in the Y direction.
