PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the price of an FIR type digital filter by making circuit scale small and constant regardless of increase/decrease in the number of taps. SOLUTION: A digital filter includes a memory 43 for storing FIR output data indicating a result of arithmetically operating a sum of products between a tap coefficient relating to each of taps of an FIR type digital filter having the taps as many as an integer multiple of the number of samples constituting coded data and the coded data, and a transmission code pattern generator 41 for generating a transmission code pattern by time-sequentially arranging coded data. An address selector 42 reads from the memory 43, synchronously to a sampling clock, FIR output data corresponding to the transmission code pattern generated by the transmission code pattern generator 41.
