<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus and a mehod for conveying cords which prevent the entanglement of neighboring cords caused when conveying a plurality of the cords. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The cord-conveying apparatus including cord-conveying means for conveying a plurality of the cords in one direction while keeping the parallel state is configured so that at least the neighboring cords in the parallel state may be conveyed through paths displaced in a direction orthogonal to the cord-extended direction, and at least the neighboring cords may be separated from each other by providing a guide roll for guiding at least the neighboring cords so as to be conveyed in the path orthogonal to the cord-arranged direction and providing a restricting part for restricting the rocking motion of the cords sent while keeping the parallel state in the cord-conveying means or a subsequent roll following the cord-conveying means.
