<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tape cartridge which attains reduction in the amount of resin to be used and prevents damages to the flange of a tape reel due to fall impacts, or the like. Ž<P>SOLUTION: In the tape cartridge that includes a tape reel 30 including a bottomed cylindrical hub 8a, around which a recording tape is wound and a pair of disk-shaped flanges 7 and 8 jetting in a radial direction from both end parts of the hub 8a, and a case 20 for rotatably storing the tape reel 30, the case 20 has a plurality of recessed parts 31, formed on an opposing surface opposite to a main surface of an upper flange 7 of the tape reel and the plurality of recessed parts 31 are placed in a circular region which has a smaller diameter than the outside diameter of the upper flange 7 and is placed around a cross point, between the opposing surface of the case 20 opposite to the main surface of the upper flange 7 and a center axis of the upper flange 7.
