<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an observation result recording apparatus which reduces the technical, economical or operation management costs of a quantum cryptography apparatus by attaining a simple configuration without spoiling its performance. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The observation result recording apparatus of the quantum cryptography apparatus includes an apparatus for recording the arrival port of a photon and an apparatus for recording the arrival timing of the photon. The apparatus records the arrival port and arrival timing of the photon by operating them in parallel and accumulating both the recording data in a buffer memory.
