<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a television intercom system that accurately determines that there is a person in front of a camera by compound processing of image processing and human body sensor. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The television intercom system includes a master unit at living room that checks visitors and communicates with them, a camera that is connected with the master unit and picks up visitors or suspicious persons, and a human body sensor that detects a visitor or a suspicious person. The camera always operates, and the master unit includes an image determination section that analyses an image picked up by the camera and determines that a person exists, and a compound verification section that, when the image determination section detects the existence of a person, verifies the identification detection by the human body sensor.
