<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent adhesion of scale in a method using physical force without causing cavitation damage to a water heat exchanger. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This scale prevention device for the heat exchanger includes: the water heat exchanger having pressure resistance and heating water; a pressurizing means 3 for pressurizing heated water within the water heat exchanger; a physical force generating means 5 for pealing scale adhered to inside of the heat exchanger by physical force; and a control means 7 for controlling the heat exchanger, the pressurizing means 3 and the physical force generating means 5. By operating the pressurizing means 3, the control means 7 operates the physical force generating means 5 with water pressure applied to inside of the heat exchanger.
