MEDICAL PRACTICE BILLING RECAPTURE SYSTEM AND METHOD

A method comprises receiving first and second data, wherein the first data corresponds to historical inventory transactions within a medical practice for a selected period and the second data corresponds to historical billing transactions within the practice. A computer-readable medium is provided having executable instructions stored thereon for analyzing at least a portion of the first data and the second data to generate an exceptions list of possible billing errors within the medical practice for the selected period. Each possible billing error corresponds to an associated billing event. Instructions are executed on a computer system to perform analysis of the first and second data, and transactions surrounding each billing event are investigated to verify an existence or absence of a billing error pertaining thereto.
