<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical device capable of preventing exfoliation of sealing resin and the occurrence of various troubles that originated from the lifting. <P>SOLUTION: An optical device includes a package 10, having a concave portion, a semiconductor chip 11 on whose upper face an optical element 12 is formed and whose lower face is adhered onto a bottom portion 10A; a transparent member 14 that is adhered onto the upper face of the semiconductor chip 11 so as to cover the optical element 12; and sealing resin 16 that is filled between the package 10 and the semiconductor chip 11.
