PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical disk reproduction device for shortening a time until the start of data reproduction from an optical disk having a plurality of recording layers and for preventing recording capacity of a memory for storing look-ahead data from becoming large. SOLUTION: When a control unit 110 in an optical disk reproduction device 100 finishes adjusting control parameter for controlling the position of a beam spot with respect to a first layer, it refers to an adjustment time necessary for adjusting the control parameter so as to control the position of a beam spot with respect to the recording layer of a second layer and following layers and controls a data read part 120 so that the data for the portion of the adjustment time are read from the optical disk 10 and stored in a memory 130. The control unit 110 adjusts the control parameter with respect to the recording layer of the second layer and the following layers while the data stored in the memory 130 are reproduced.
