PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper box with an opening function having a sufficient height when a signboard is raised at right angles when opening, and demonstrating an effect as the signboard not only on the side surface of the box but also on the upper part of the box. SOLUTION: In the paper box, a top surface plate is opened by two cutting lines 1A and 1B provided on the top surface plate 11 and creases and is stood and held. Two Z-shaped cutting lines and bending creases provided in parallel to an opening part exist, and when the front part of the top surface plate is bent by the bending creases, end surfaces provided by the cutting lines are brought into contact with each other and are engaged, and the top surface plate is opened, raised and held thereby.
