<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To drastically improve the fun of game machines, such as Pachinko machines, which includes a variable display device capable of variably displaying identification information. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A game board 2 of a Pachinko machine 1 is provided with an operation opening 3 and a big prize-winning opening 4, and has a built-in display device 13 provided with a display section 13a at the center of the game board 2. The display section 13a has a plurality of symbol rows each of which is made of a plurality of kinds of symbols. A control unit 24 starts variably displaying the symbols, in response to the occurrence a prescribed event based on the detection result by a play situation detection means, and stops varying the symbols after a lapse of a prescribed time.
