PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simply and intuitively operate while avoiding possible error sources in order to obtain sufficient polishing results for many purposes by an unskilled person. SOLUTION: A pivot arm 15 is movable with respect to a carriage 2 by a feeding device 30, and devices 7 and 8 operable independently from the feeding device 30 are installed for manually adjusting the carriage 2 to a desired linear position.
