An inverter circuit comprises first and second switch elements, an output transformer which receives a current on the primary through the first and second switch elements and outputs a current to a load from the secondary, first and second snubber circuits respectively connected in parallel with the first and second switch elements, and first and second regeneration circuits for regenerating charges in the snubber capacitors of the first and second snubber circuits and supplying the regenerated charges to a voltage source. The first and second regeneration circuits respectively include a series circuit of a switch element, a reactor and a diode for regeneration, and control the on time of the switch element in the regeneration circuit depending on the magnitude of the output power from the inverter circuit. Consequently, high efficiency can be maintained regardless of the magnitude of the output power in circuitry comprising a snubber circuits and regeneration circuits. |
