<p>The element (1) has a carrier matrix (2) with hard material particles (3) on its surface, and consisting of a metal-matrix-composite (MMC)-alloy with hard material particles. The MMC-alloy is a light metal MMC alloy such as aluminum-MMC-alloy. The MMC-alloy contains silicon primary crystals (11) in addition to the hard material particles. Tribological and mechanical properties such as elastic modulus, hardness, yield strength, operating strength, endurance strength, type, proportion, size and shape of the hard material particles are influenced by properties of a metal matrix (9).</p> |
