<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light-emitting device array capable of miniaturizing a semiconductor substrate in the arrangement direction of the light-emitting device and increasing the density of the light-emitting devices. <P>SOLUTION: The light-emitting device array 1 includes a compound semiconductor substrate 3 having a sphalerite version crystal structure and formed in a rectangular shape by cutting sides A and B perpendicular to each other along directions [110] and [1-10], respectively, a plurality of light-emitting devices 5 each comprised of a compound semiconductor layer S having the sphalerite version crystal structure continuously epitaxially grown on the compound semiconductor substrate 3, arranged in a column shape along the direction [1-10] and having a side along the direction [1-10] of a reverse mesa shape, electrodes 7 connected with the top surface of each light-emitting devices 5, and a filling material 21 provided to fill a depression C formed due to the reverse mesa shape of the side along the direction [1-10] of the light-emitting devices 5, wherein the electrodes 7 are drawn via the filling material 21 from the top surface of each light-emitting device 5. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
