<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To properly protect a motor control device of EPS ECU from overheat by detecting an atmosphere temperature of an EPS ECU without adding a thermistor to the EPS ECU and properly restricting a feed current to the motor according to the ambient temperature. <P>SOLUTION: In the electric power steering device having an electric power steering electronic control unit 30 arranged in a cabin, the electric power steering electronic control unit has a motor target current suppressing processing means 45 for restricting the fed current to the motor 10 based on the current flowing in the motor 10 detected by a motor current detection device 32 and the temperature in the cabin detected by an in-cabin thermometer 51. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
